Art Week around L.A.

What an interesting week. It all started on Thursday when I attended Downtown L.A.'s Art Walk. Art Walk happens every second Thursday of each month. There were thousands of people from college students to older adults. It's a great way to scope out art and see what the Los Angeles culture is about. There were bunch of food vendors on hand with live music. I've even seen barbers cutting hair on the streets. The most amazing thing I saw was gallery on wheels. What a conventional way without paying for real estate. The city cleaned up downtown quite a bit. There's less hobos and the streets don't smell like trash or urine.

On Saturday, I went to the 4th Annual Paadena ARTWalk. The vendors section was actually small, but the Pacific Asian Museum was awesome. It's small in size, but it features old artifacts, Asian graffiti, and calligraphy. I got a change to test my calligraphy skills. It was terrible, but fun.

The next event will be the Giant Robot Biennale 2 Exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum in J-town. I am looking forward to that!
